The GSB is situated in the V & A Waterfront, which is a high wind area. Metal Windows was called for a solution. Larry custom designed a “wind lobby” which shelters the entrance to the GSB.
By offsetting the entrance to the side, it prohibits the wind force from blowing directly into the building, makes a more comfortable space and provides a weather shelter.
The “wind lobby” was manufactured using Aluminium section powder coated charcoal with high spec glass –a low maintenance solution in the harsh sea air climate. This same type of “lobby” works particularly well in any high wind area and has been particularly popular in our residential projects in Oranjezicht, Camps Bay etc. Contact Metal Windows on 021 448 4333 for more information.
