House Rubert
This contemporary inspired family home in Tamboerskloof has been artfully renovated and filled with curated pieces. Metal Windows custom designed products to form a backdrop in keeping with the owners’ design brief.
The exterior is completed with our Metal Windows dark umber grey powder coated aluminium windows and doors. The windows are partially filmed with a laser cut pattern for both privacy and framing views of Table Mountain and Lions Head. Larry worked closely with the interior design and construction team to hone every detail to perfection.
A glass and aluminium custom made skylight lets light into an external living space leading off the lounge.
The Master bathroom was carefully configured to preserve beautiful mountain views while providing ventilation and privacy. The windows appear to float on the edge of the bath tub.
The shower enclosure and toilet door are both manufactured using galvanised steel and powder coated a matt pitch black with hinged opening sections and custom stainless steel handles. A striking aesthetic was created using narrow steel framing in combination with larger than standard rectangular glass panes in the spacious shower and toilet enclosures. The steel doors act as a fitting partner for the fun elements and brightly coloured mosaic.
