Rex True Form Building, Salt River

In 2014 Metal Windows completed the Rex Trueform contract. We were contracted to refurbish all the windows on the former Rex Trueform garment factory redevelopment. The project required that we comply to tight Heritage Council strictures, as the complex features a variety of different builds and window styles – dating from the art deco era c1908 , through 2nd World War (c1940s) up to the 1980s.

The original window frames were made out of a variety of materials including wood, steel and aluminium – the perfect project challenge for the Metal Windows team!

We designed , serviced and provided repair solutions for each of the different types of windows in the various buildings and façades the make up the Rex Trueform complex. We also supplied new high performance glazing and aluminium products for the newly constructed areas of the development. The newer facades were integrated with the old repaired window frames, to ensure full compliance with modern “green” and energy-saving requirements.
