We designed and built a welded aluminium-frame structure, which was fitted to an old loading dock, thus assisting in the conversion of old industrial space into modern retail space, doubling the floor area and creating a light filled restaurant-area.
We are currently contracted to refurbish all the windows on the former Rex Truefrom garment factory redevelopment. The project requires that we comply to tight Heritage Council strictures, as the complex features a variety of different window styles – dating from the art deco era, through 2nd World War up to the 1980s.
The original building was a facebrick clad concrete frame structure with a few old industrial-style steel windows. Carrol Boyes’ vision was to open the building to natural light and air.
